 Dan W. Reiff, PhD, RD

Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Dietitian

      Dr. Dan Reiff received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific University. Dr. Reiff is an eating disorder specialist who had been working as a member of a multi-disciplinary outpatient treatment team for over 20 years. A native of Washington state, Dr. Reiff received a bachelor of science degree from Western Washington University, then traveled south to complete a masters degree in public health nutrition from the University of California, Berkeley. 

      Dr. Reiff enjoys lecturing and giving workshops regarding the treatment of people with eating disorders, integrating his knowledge of both the psychological and nutritional aspects of recovery as he speaks.  A fellow and founding member of the Academy of Eating Disorders, Dr. Reiff co-authored the position paper on eating disorders of the American Dietetics Association, co-authored Eating Disorders: Nutrition Therapy in the Recovery Process (the book described in this website), was a board member of Eating Disorders Awareness and Prevention and the Northwest Foundation for Eating Disorders, and served on the editorial board of Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention.  He has lectured nationally and internationally regarding his approaches to the treatment of people with eating disorders.

     In his spare time, Dr. Reiff enjoys spending time with his family, flyfishing for steelhead, and gardening.
